These are artificial elements, which can be made of different materials: resin, zirconium, metal, ceramic, etc. They are intended to restore the anatomy of one or more teeth, recovering lost functionality and aesthetics.

They are the piece that joins the implant; while the implant replaces the natural root, the prosthesis replaces the tooth.

They can be used to replace one or more teeth or to correct bite problems. There are several types of dental prostheses:

Removable partial dentures

They are shaped like a bridge, are placed on the upper part of the mouth, replace one or more teeth, and can be easily removed and cleaned.

Removable complete dentures

These dentures replace all the teeth in an arch, are held in place by a clamp to the neighboring teeth, and can be removed and cleaned.

Fixed partial dentures

They are placed over the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth and fixed with a special cement.
Fixed prostheses: These are placed in the upper part of the mouth, fixed with a dental crown over the adjacent teeth, and held in place with a clasp.

Implant-supported prostheses

They are used to replace one or more missing teeth. Dental implants are placed in the jawbone and attached to a dental bridge. These prostheses are very strong and durable, and can last up to 20 years.

Apart from the aesthetic function, the prostheses guarantee physical improvements; we will recover the natural movement when chewing and speaking, during these actions they will not move.
