What are the benefits?

Unlike traditional orthodontics, Invisalign aligners are removable and do not contain any metal.

The aligners fit perfectly since they are created based on a 3D scanner study that replicates the shape of each patient's mouth and teeth. This ensures maximum comfort, minimal pain, and treatment success.

You don't have to give up your lifestyle or any food since the aligners are removable, allowing you to enjoy any meal. However, they should be worn throughout the day, only to be removed during meals or specific moments, such as during contact sports.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1How do Invisalign aligners work?
Invisalign aligners are designed to apply the necessary force where and when needed, thanks to the digital study conducted at the beginning of the treatment. This study allows the precise mapping of the teeth movement.
2How do I know if it's suitable for me?
Invisalign aligners are capable of treating various occlusal and dental straightening problems, from simple to complex cases. Throughout the process and before starting the treatment, you will be supervised by one of our dentists, who will guide you through the process and evaluate the best solutions for you. This ensures that the treatment plan is tailored to your specific needs and ensures the best possible outcome.
3The process is as follows:
The first step is to schedule an appointment at one of our Vila Dental clinics. Together, we will evaluate and study your oral health situation. Once the patient approves the treatment plan proposed by their dentist, exclusive Invisalign aligners will be designed and created. Always under the instructions and supervision of your dentist, you will wear the Invisalign aligners for 20-22 hours per day. The aligners should only be removed during meals and when brushing your teeth. During the treatment, the aligners will be changed every 1 or 2 weeks, based on the individual needs of each patient's treatment plan. Each set of aligners gently moves the teeth and gradually aligns them according to the established plan. Throughout the entire process, our dental team will guide you, ensuring that your treatment progresses smoothly. Regular check-ups will be scheduled to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan. The ultimate goal is to achieve the desired results, in line with the established plan.
4How long does the treatment last?
The average duration of the treatment is between 12 to 18 months, always depending on the complexity of the case, patient compliance, and specific needs
5Can I eat anything?
Since the invisible aligners are removable, they can be taken out when consuming any type of food.
6Are Invisalign aligners painful?
The aligners apply enough pressure to gradually move the teeth, and in general, patients may feel a sensation of pressure, especially in the first few days after changing aligners. Feeling this discomfort or pressure is an indicator that the Invisalign treatment is working. Some patients may also experience a feeling of their teeth "loosening," especially when removing the aligners. This sensation is normal because as the teeth move, the gums also undergo changes and gradually adapt to the new alignment.
7Is the result of Invisalign treatment permanent?
In any type of orthodontic treatment, to ensure that the teeth do not gradually return to their initial position, retainers should be worn. Retainers prevent the teeth from shifting back to their natural position. It's essential that your dentist evaluates your case and advises on how to complete the treatment properly. Wearing retainers as prescribed by your dentist will help maintain the alignment achieved through Invisalign, ensuring a long-lasting and stable result.
8How should I care for and maintain the aligners?
The patient should brush the aligners and rinse them with warm water. Additionally, their dentist will advise them on any specific cleaning that their aligners may require. The patient should also brush their teeth to ensure that no food residues can dirty the aligners
99. What happens if I lose or break an aligner or a set of aligners?
In that case, you should inform your dentist as soon as possible. Your dentist will advise you on how to proceed with the treatment, which may involve moving on to the next aligner or getting a replacement set.
